SUPA Newsletter, Volume 1, Issue 7
Hello, I’m The Heckler, and I attend Lee Academy on a regular basis. Here, I am enrolled in a college course, English Composition II. For this class, we were required to construct a newsletter. This newsletter is based on our Classical Argument, and my topic was Education Reform. Both focus on the disharmonies of the American public school system, and even suggest a few ways in which we could change it into something that as Americans, we are proud of. Hope you like it!
i agree that schools need reform in some areas. One could be the class schedules and how the classes are taught. New schools could also be created for people who want to have a skilled labor job and dont want to go to a formal school since this wont help there goals. The only problem is that reform takes a long time to happen and by the time that things start to change then it may be to late.
ReplyDeleteThere does need to be some level of reform, but to what level? And where is the focus going to be more important? I truly feel that vocational programs and trade schools need to be offered to students who are hands on learners and let them to be able to excel in there chosen areas before high school is over. Although reform is important, how long will it take before this issue is going to be considered " important" to people? Very interesting topic, hope to read more!
